What's up homeslices?                                                                                                -BACK-

Here's two thoughts I've been working over the last couple of days... thought you might be encouraged, and have something to think about for a bit.

The saying goes "the grass is always greener on the other side".... and as some of you may already know, what I do for a living is mow lawns, and maintiain grass... etc.

Thought #1.) If you are standing on your side of the fence, looking over at other's yards, it is true, the grass does look greener. There is actually a reason for this. If you look straight down at your grass, you can see the dead grass in between the living, green shoots. You can see the little ant hill, and all the pineneedles, and pinecones.... all the imperfections. This makes it look not nearly as appealing as the neighbors lawn. The difference is, looking at an angle, and from a distance, the neighor's lawn looks green, and pretty much perfect. If you were to actually walk over to the neighbor's yard, chances are their grass is pretty much the same as yours. ((If it's way better, they have Green Drop : ))

Application: You know your life the best... But other's can't see all the little imperfections. Same thing goes for you, you don't see everyone else's struggles, therefore, their life looks better and greener. The truth is, everybody struggles, you might only be aware of yours.

Thought#2.) Ok, you're still standing on your side of the fence.... looking over at the guy-next-door's lawn. So you know that it might not necessarily be greener, but it still looks greener than your grass.... Stop. Think. and then think this over again.

You are 1 of millions of people. So there's you on one side, and millions of people on the other side. If there's a million people on the other side, they are probably all looking at your grass, and thinking it's pretty green. So, you are pretty much the only one to think that your grass isn't as green as theirs. I don't know if you follow my logic on that one, it's a little off... but, neverless. You=1 Neighbor=1,000,000 ... you have the better odds.

Peace, and love... True love.
